Veteran's Day Memorial

From November 8 through November 12, 2013, the traveling Wall That Heals -- a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., -- is coming to your area.

The Wall That Heals - officially unveiled on Veterans Day 1996 - is designed to travel to communities all over the United States to allow the souls enshrined on The Memorial to exist once more among family and friends in familiar surroundings.

The traveling memorial has visited more than 350 cities and towns, and soon, that list will include Auburn, Washington.

A mobile museum and information center accompany The Wall That Heals on its journey.  The museum is filled with information on service members whose names are found on The Wall and letters and memorabilia left at The Wall in Washington, D.C.  The information center allows you to quickly and  easily find a name or names on the traveling Wall.

Like its big brother in D.C., The Wall That Heals is a must-see for veterans, service members, and their families - it is a wonderful place for class field trips or group visits.
