Cynthia Wescott

Cynthia Wescott  was a national champion skydiver, and owned and operated Beaver Oaks Skyport as well as Western Parachute Sales with her husband Ralph Hatley in Estacada, OR.  After high school she worked as a typesetter at the Oregonian, pursued her skydiving, and raced her corvette.  She skydived all over the world and was featured on Wide World of Sports.  In addition, she was an acrobatic pilot and a quilter.

She was stricken and diagnosed in July of 2011 with Mesothelioma and passed away on January 14th of 2012.  My husband Larry and I were with her to the end.  She was a great lady.

Thank you,

Cynthia (Cynde) Wilson Wescott, SHS Class of '64 (sister-in-law)

Married to Cynthia's brother, Larry, SHS Class of '62
