Roy was a bit of a joker. I had some good times with him - kinda "zinging" each other.
Roy was the only witness to my getting rather easily beat up by the big brother of a guy in the neighborhood with whom I was in verbal conflict. Roy never let me forget it. He needled me every time it came into his mind. - which was quite often. I finally had to join the army just to escape his zingers.
Of course I was 16 at the time and the guy was a 20 year old marine home on leave. But that didn't seem to be a factor to my friend Roy.
As a result - Roy became a big part of one of the more vivid memories from my high school years. Roy's needling me was the good part of that memory however.
Roy has come to mind quite a few times over the years - all welcome memories. .
